Kukowska Gajka is a modest but broad summit in the western part of the Żurawnica Group, right in the heart of the Beskid Mały mountains. It's a spot for hikers who prefer quiet trails over crowded ones - there is no marked hiking trail leading to the top, making it a genuine off-the-beaten-path destination.

The summit itself is covered in forest, while its lower slopes are farmland belonging to the village of Krzeszów - the peak's name actually references the neighboring village of Kuków, though administratively it belongs to Krzeszów. The landscape here is classic gentle Beskid terrain - rolling hills, patches of woodland interspersed with fields, and between Kukowska Gajka and the nearby Capia Górka lies the small settlement of Międzygronie. At the edge of the forest, just below the summit, stands a wooden cross offering views toward Żurawnica, Palusowa Góra and Harańczykowa Góra, with the distinctive silhouette of Leskowiec visible in the distance. In spring and summer the surrounding fields are lush and green, autumn brings rich forest colors, and in winter the hill sits in peaceful silence, rarely disturbed by other hikers.
