Gołuszkowa Góra (715 m a.s.l.) is the quiet heart of the Żurawnica Group in the Beskid Mały range — a summit that punches well above its modest height thanks to its central position and sweeping views. If you are looking for a rewarding hike away from the crowds, this is a gem worth seeking out.

The peak sits at the very core of the main ridge, flanked by Żurawnica to the west and Góra Żmijowa to the east. Its northern slopes are steep and deeply dissected, dropping down toward the Tarnawka valley, while a shorter, gentler ridge extends to the south-east. Once largely covered in farmland, the hillsides are gradually being reclaimed by forest — yet the open meadows on the southern slopes survive, and from them, high up beneath the summit, you are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama stretching across the Beskid Makowski and Beskid Żywiecki ranges all the way to the massive bulk of Babia Góra. On a crisp autumn day, with the beeches turning gold, the view is simply stunning.

• The marked trails pass slightly below the true summit — the best views are found on the open meadows of the southern slope rather than at the very top.
