Kubínska hoľa (1,347 m a.s.l.) is one of the finest viewpoints in the Orava Magura range in Slovakia, rewarding visitors with sweeping 360-degree panoramas and a wonderfully open, pastoral atmosphere. Whether you come in spring for the blooming crocuses or in winter for the skiing, this peak delivers something special every season.

The summit ridge is broad and gently rolling, making it accessible to a wide range of hikers. The open clearings near the top are former pastures, cleared during the height of shepherding culture in the 16th–18th centuries. In spring they are carpeted with crocuses and Carpathian squill, while late summer brings swathes of Gentiana asclepiadea in bloom. From the summit clearings you can take in an outstanding panorama stretching across the Beskid Żywiecki with Pilsko and Babia Góra, the Western Tatras, the Low Tatras, the Chočské vrchy, the Veľká Fatra and the Malá Fatra. In winter, the area transforms into a lively ski destination with the SKI Park Kubínska hoľa operating on the slopes.

• The mountain hut Chata na Kubínskej holi sits at around 1,100 m a.s.l. on the southern slope — the only hut in the entire Orava Magura range, with 62 beds in 17 rooms.
• A meteorological radar belonging to the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ) stands on the summit.
• The SKI Park Kubínska hoľa operates ski lifts near the summit area in winter.

The name 'Kubínska hoľa' literally means the 'high pasture of Kubín' — a nod to the centuries-old shepherding tradition of the townspeople of nearby Dolný Kubín, which lies clearly visible in the valley below.
