Kotłowa Czubka (1840 m a.s.l.) is a peaceful, dome-shaped summit on the Ornak ridge in the Western Tatras — the kind of place that rewards you with open views and genuine mountain calm, well away from the busiest tourist trails. Perched between the Pyszniańska and Starorobociańska valleys, it makes a natural highlight on any ridge traverse of the Ornak.

The summit is carpeted with low alpine grass and rush — a plant whose shoot tips turn a warm red in late summer, giving the hilltop a subtle but striking colour. As the southernmost peak on the Ornak ridge, Kotłowa Czubka offers wide views back along the full ridge line, which also includes Suchy Wierch Ornaczański (1832 m), Ornak (1854 m) and Zadni Ornak (1867 m). To the south it is separated from the rocky Siwe Turnie by Siwa Przełęcz pass (1812 m), while the shallow Kotłowe Siodło saddle connects it to Zadni Ornak to the north.

Kotłowa Czubka marks the southern end of the Ornak ridge, where the terrain transitions into the more rugged Siwe Turnie. It is a perfect spot to pause, take in the whole ridge at a glance, and appreciate how much ground you have covered.
