Klimaska is a quiet, forested peak in the Łamana Skała Range in the Beskid Mały mountains, appealing to those who prefer solitude over crowded trails. It's a hidden-away forest retreat rather than a headline summit.

The peak sits on a short, north-western ridge of Potrójna, separating the valleys of the Ryta and Klimaska streams. The Klimaska ridge has two summits - a southern one (787 m) closer to the main ridge, and a northern one (720 m). The whole area is covered in forest, with aerial photos revealing a few small, overgrowing clearings that hint at past land use. In autumn and spring, the woods take on a peaceful, secluded character perfect for unhurried walking.

How to reach the summit

The forest on Klimaska's slopes has a dark history - in the late 18th century, a German merchant bought it intending to clear-cut it for a local ironworks, sparking local resistance from villagers who relied on the woods through traditional usage rights. In desperation, they burned down the ironworks - and the forest survives to this day.
