Kamień (717 m a.s.l.) is one of the most distinctive summits in the eastern Low Beskids, sitting within the Bukowica Range. It offers a rewarding combination of forest atmosphere, striking sandstone rock outcrops and a sense of wild solitude that is increasingly rare in the region.

The summit is cloaked in dense woodland, and its highlight is a cluster of rocky outcrops formed from Eocene Przybyszów sandstone — ancient, textured formations that give the peak a rugged, almost mysterious character. The terrain is moderately hilly and accessible to families and beginners alike. Spring brings birdsong and fresh greenery, summer offers cool shade under the beeches and firs, and autumn transforms the hillsides into vivid shades of gold and rust.

• The European long-distance trail E8 runs across this summit, connecting Iwonicz-Zdrój with the Ukrainian border via the Bieszczady Mountains.

There are actually three peaks called 'Kamień' in the Low Beskids, which is why locals and hikers use the name 'Kamień nad Rzepedzią' to tell this one apart — a small detail that says a lot about just how characterful this quiet corner of the Carpathians really is.
