Kameniště is a modest but distinctive peak in the Jizera Mountains, shaped by ancient volcanic activity. This rocky hill rising above Albrechtice near Frýdlant offers a quiet escape from busier trails.

The summit takes the form of a low neovolcanic outcrop made of olivine nephelinite, stretching from northwest to southeast. Oak forests cover its southern slopes, mixed with spruce, birch and scattered shrubs, while cleared areas give way to farmland and meadows. In summer the hill is wrapped in greenery, autumn brings golden oak foliage, and in winter the bare trees reveal the rocky structure of the summit more clearly. It's a place suited to travelers who enjoy peaceful, unhurried walks through countryside scenery.

How to reach the summit

• Albrechtice near Frýdlant — approx. 1.5 km hike southwest, easy difficulty
• Access also possible via field paths crossing meadows and farmland on the southern slopes

Interestingly, the hill's German name, Steinberg, literally means 'stone mountain', a fitting nod to its volcanic rock origins.
