Jaworzyna Krynicka (1114 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Jaworzyna Range in the Beskid Sądecki mountains — and one of the most rewarding and accessible summits in the entire Polish Carpathians. Whether you ride the gondola or hike up on foot, you will find a panoramic restaurant, a PTTK mountain hut, a dedicated viewing platform and one of Poland's largest ski resorts all waiting for you at the top.

The summit ridge offers a full 360-degree horizon: on a clear day you can pick out the High Tatras and Low Tatras, the Bieszczady, the Pieniny, the Low Beskids and even the Połonina Rivna plateau in Ukraine and the Čergov Mountains across the Slovak border. The observation deck above the upper gondola station lifts you to 1122 m for an even wider perspective. In winter the mountain transforms into a buzzing ski destination with 14 km of pistes, including the longest floodlit ski run in Poland.

• The viewing platform at 1122 m above the gondola station requires a separate entry ticket.
• The summit gets very busy on weekends and in summer — an early start is recommended.
• Wolves, lynx and occasional bears migrating from Slovakia or the Bieszczady inhabit the massif.

If you have a little extra time, seek out the Kamień Diabelski — a cave and rock outcrop on the eastern slope, the largest of its kind in the entire massif and steeped in local legend.
