Jaworzyna (1,581.2 m) is a forested peak on the northwestern edge of the Western Tatras, rising above the Roháčska Valley near Zuberec. It's a place for hikers seeking quiet trails away from the crowds of the main Tatra routes.

The summit itself is covered in dense forest, so there's no open view from the very top, but nearby vantage points reveal sweeping panoramas of the surrounding Western Tatra peaks, as well as the Chočské vrchy, Malá Fatra, Oravská Magura, the Skorušina Hills, the Orava Beskids and the foothills of southern Poland. The atmosphere here is wild and little-trodden — perfect for a peaceful walk, especially in autumn when the forests of Osobitá glow with color, or in winter when snow blankets the steep slopes dropping into the Látaná and Suchá valleys.

How to reach the summit

• Zverovka — green trail, via the Pod Osobitou saddle, moderate difficulty
• Alternatively: from Lúčna via Roh and Kasne (green trail), a longer and more demanding route

• The peak lies on the edge of a protected area — access is limited to a single marked trail
• The northern half of the mountain belongs to the Osobitá Nature Reserve, part of the Tatra National Park

Though the summit hides beneath the treetops, Jaworzyna is a genuine gem for lovers of quiet, lesser-known corners of the Western Tatras, where nature still calls the shots.
