Jaworzyna is a modest but charming peak in the Wielka Racza Group, right in the heart of the Żywiec-Kysuce Beskids. It's a great pick for hikers who value quiet trails and unspoiled nature over crowded, famous summits.

Today Jaworzyna is largely covered in forest, though not long ago its ridge and slopes were much more open — old topographic maps still show traces of these clearings, while aerial photos reveal fresh reforestation that has reshaped the landscape. The lower part of the south-eastern slopes remains open, occupied by fields and houses belonging to Rycerka Górna, creating a lovely contrast between the forested summit and the pastoral village below. The peak's name comes from the sycamore maples ('jawory') that once grew here — a common naming pattern across the Carpathians.
