Jagodna (977–985 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak in the Bystrzyckie Mountains and one of those rare summits that offer more than just a view — they offer a sense of standing at the edge of two worlds. This quiet, forested peak in the Central Sudetes is a genuine gem for hikers looking to escape the crowds.

The slopes are cloaked in lower montane spruce forest mixed with birch, beech and larch. A natural clearing near the summit — opened up by storms decades ago — frames a sweeping panorama of the Kłodzko Valley, Śnieżnik Massif, Orlickie Mountains and the Upper Nysa Trough. Since 2019, a 23-metre steel-and-timber observation tower has made the view even more spectacular. Autumn brings fiery colours to the hillsides, while winter transforms the forest into a quiet, snow-covered wonderland.

In the early 20th century, the local Kłodzko Mountain Society erected a 17-metre wooden observation tower here — and the remains of its successor, a triangulation tower, can still be spotted near the top today.
