Huzary (864 m a.s.l.) is a forested peak in the Jaworzyna Krynicka Range of the Beskid Sądecki mountains, just a short walk from the famous spa town of Krynica-Zdrój. A crossroads of four hiking trails, it has been a favourite destination for spa guests and casual hikers for generations — and it's easy to see why.

The summit itself is completely covered in forest, so you won't find sweeping panoramas at the top, but the journey through the beech and fir woodlands more than makes up for it. The trails are peaceful and well-marked, perfect for a relaxed half-day outing in any season. In autumn the hillsides glow with colour, in winter the snow-covered paths make for a magical short hike from Krynica, and in summer the dense canopy provides welcome shade.

• Krynica-Zdrój ('Roma' bus stop, Krynica–Tylicz road) — yellow trail, approx. 45–60 min, easy — the shortest and most popular approach.
• Krynica (Kościuszko Mound / Kopiec Pułaskiego area) — ridge trail to Huzary, approx. 60–75 min, easy — a scenic alternative through historically interesting terrain.
• Mochnaczka Niżna — from the north-east via the Main Beskid Trail (red), approx. 60 min, easy.
• Tylicz — from the south, approx. 60–75 min, easy.

• Huzary is a junction of four marked hiking trails, including the iconic red Main Beskid Trail — making it a handy waypoint on longer ridge walks.
• Along the trail from Krynica you'll pass a historic exotic tree nursery established by Professor Edward Chodzicki in the 1930s, home to the oldest Japanese cedars (cryptomeria) in Poland, planted around 1930.
• The administrative boundary of three villages — Krynica-Zdrój, Tylicz and Mochnaczka Niżna — meets near the summit.

The name 'Huzary' (Hussars) hints at a colourful past: local tradition holds that Bar Confederation fighters skirmished on these very slopes, and before World War II an 18th-century cannonball and a sabre engraved with the date 1747 were discovered here.
