Hrádková (1,206 m a.s.l.) is a quiet, off-the-beaten-path summit in the Choč Mountains of northern Slovakia, sitting on the boundary of the Kvačianska dolina National Nature Reserve. If you are after solitude, raw rocky terrain and a genuine sense of wilderness, this is a peak worth seeking out.

The southern slopes are strikingly rocky, while the summit ridge is cloaked in dense forest that limits wide-open panoramas to spots with thinner tree cover. From those clearings, you can take in the neighbouring Choč Mountain peaks, a stretch of the Liptov Basin, the Skorušinské Hills and the Western Tatras. On a clear day the view stretches further to the Orava Beskydy, Orava Magura, parts of the Malá and Veľká Fatra ranges, and the Low Tatras. In winter the massif becomes a hushed, snow-covered landscape visited by almost nobody.

The eastern foot of Hrádková is defined by the scenic Kvačianska dolina valley — one of the most celebrated and protected gorges in the entire Choč Mountains range.
