Hole (1,466 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding off-ridge summit in the Krivánska Fatra section of Malá Fatra, sitting on a lateral spur branching off from Koniarky. It offers sweeping views without the crowds that flock to the main ridge — a perfect destination for those who like their mountains a little quieter.

The summit is open and grassy, dotted with dwarf pine and blueberry shrubs, giving it a classic alpine meadow feel. The views westward and northward are outstanding: the Súľov Rocks, Javorníky hills, Kysuce Highlands and Oravská Magura are all clearly visible, and on a clear day you can spot the border ridges of the Orava, Kysuce and Moravian-Silesian Beskids. To the east and south, the main ridge rises impressively — Malý Kriváň (1,671 m) and Koniarky (1,535 m) form a dramatic backdrop. Autumn transforms the meadows into shades of gold, making this one of the most photogenic corners of Malá Fatra.

• The entire area is within the Malá Fatra National Park.
• The western slopes are part of the Prípor National Nature Reserve; the north-eastern slopes fall within the Veľká Bránica National Nature Reserve.

Located only about 8 km south of Terchová, Hole is surprisingly accessible yet rarely overcrowded — a hidden gem well worth adding to your Malá Fatra itinerary.
