Graniasta Turnia (2260 m a.s.l.) is a rugged peak sitting right on the main ridge of the Tatra Mountains, overlooking the valleys of Rówienka and Veľká Studená dolina. With no marked trails leading to the top, this is a place for those who love the mountains on their own terms — raw, quiet, and genuinely rewarding.

The summit actually has two closely spaced tops, with the south-western one being slightly higher. The surrounding terrain is classic High Tatras: sharp rocky ridges, steep flanks, and sweeping views that remind you why people fall in love with this range. In winter the conditions become considerably more serious, and the unmarked approach demands real mountain experience.

• Świstowa Przełęcz / Svišťové sedlo (2192 m) — no trail markings, broad ridge with no technical difficulties, difficulty: moderate (unmarked terrain, navigation skills required)

• There are no marked tourist trails to Graniasta Turnia — the ascent is suitable only for experienced hikers comfortable with off-trail navigation.
• The peak lies on the Polish-Slovak border along the main Tatra ridge.
• Along the ridge descending towards Świstowa Przełęcz you will pass the minor sub-summit of Złotnikowa Czuba, separated from the main peak by the notch called Złotnikowe Wrótka.

The first recorded summer ascent was made on 20 July 1897 by August Otto and Johann Hunsdorfer senior, while the first winter ascent was achieved by Gyula Hefty and Gyula Komarnicki on 1 February 1914.
