Góra Parkowa (742 m a.s.l.) is the recreational heart of Krynica-Zdrój — a summit that blends beskid forest scenery with a surprising depth of history and facilities. You can ride a funicular to the top, enjoy a meal with a panoramic view, and stroll back down through a beautiful spa park. It is one of those rare peaks that feels equally welcoming to families, hikers, and history lovers.

The mountain's slopes are draped in a 60-hectare Spa Park filled with walking paths, gazebos, and three ponds. An unusual mix of exotic tree species — Douglas fir, Caucasian fir, Canadian hemlock, and Japanese cedar among others — gives the park an almost arboretum-like quality. In summer it is a cool green retreat; in autumn the colours are spectacular; in winter the slopes come alive with sledging and skiing. The Michasiowa Glade with its Bocianówka spring is a favourite resting spot, and nearby you will find the charming Forest Sanctuary of Our Lady Queen of Krynica Spas.

• A funicular — the first of its kind in Poland, built in 1937 — connects the town centre with the summit.
• A restaurant and a children's ski lift operate at the top.
• The former reinforced-concrete ski-jump tower from 1938 now houses a fun slide attraction for children.
• A section of the historic luge track is open in winter (January–February) and hosts national and international competitions.
• A 64-metre observation tower with a viewing platform at 36 m is accessible by stairs or lift.

This unassuming summit hosted the Luge World Championships twice — in 1958 and 1962 — making it one of the most historically significant winter sports venues in Polish sporting history.
