Dreveník is one of Slovakia's most fascinating natural landmarks — a travertine table mountain rising above the Hornád Basin, protected as a National Nature Reserve and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The combination of dramatic rock formations, ancient history and sweeping views of Spiš Castle makes it a truly unmissable destination.

Walking across Dreveník feels like stepping into a miniature stone world. The plateau is shaped by countless travertine mounds and ridges, carved over millennia by mineral springs along a tectonic fault. Hidden among the rocks you'll find the gorge known as 'Hell' and the rock city called 'Stone Paradise', as well as three small caves tucked into the hillside. In spring and summer the terrain is lush and green; in autumn, golden colours and low-hanging mist over the valley create a truly magical atmosphere. And always, the silhouette of Spiš Castle — one of Central Europe's largest — watches over the landscape from the nearby ridge.
