Czuprana (777 m a.s.l.) is the quieter twin of the Jarmuta massif in the Little Pieniny mountains — a forest-covered summit with a surprisingly rich past that rewards those willing to venture off the marked trail. No official hiking routes lead here, but that is precisely part of its charm.

Almost entirely blanketed by spruce and fir forest with touches of beech, Czuprana feels lush and cool in summer, beautifully golden in autumn, and hushed under snow in winter. On the northern foot of the peak you can spot a dramatic bare rock face — the remnant of the former Maniów andesite quarry. The southeastern slopes descend toward the Palkowski Stream valley, while the northern side drops toward the Grajcarek valley. Just 370 metres away (as the crow flies) stands the higher Jarmuta peak (794 m), separated from Czuprana by the Matwijowa Pass (763 m).

• The slopes hide the adits of a former silver mine from 1732–1739 (known as 'Bania w Jarmucie') — they are closed to visitors and protected as an ecological site called 'Sztolnie na górze Jarmuta' (0.1 ha, established 1997)

The name Czuprana comes from the Tatar word 'czubryna', meaning a tuft of hair on the crown of a shaved head — a vivid image for a rounded, forested summit. Nature enthusiasts will also appreciate that a rare protected moss species, Andreaea rupestris var. rupestris, was recorded here in 2016.
