Czeremcha (670 m a.s.l.) is a peaceful, forested summit in the western Beskid Niski range, right on the Polish-Slovak state border. It's the kind of place that rewards those who love quiet trails, dense mixed woodland and the subtle thrill of standing on a true European watershed.

The broad massif of Czeremcha fills the ridge between the Beskid nad Ożenną pass (590 m) to the west and the Kuchtowska pass (543 m) to the east. Its slopes are deeply dissected by small streams, and forest covers almost the entire mountain — only a few slowly shrinking clearings remain near the summit. On the northern flanks, old pastoral meadows are gradually being reclaimed by trees. In autumn the hillsides glow with colour, while the only sounds are murmuring brooks and birdsong.

• Ożenna village (parking in the village) — blue 'border' trail, approx. 1–1.5 h one way, easy to moderate; note that this Polish trail bypasses the actual summit to the north and returns to Ożenna.
• From the Slovak side — red 'border' trail running directly along the border clearing over the summit; accessed from Slovak villages on the southern side of the Carpathians.

• The Polish-Slovak state border runs across the summit — the red Slovak trail follows the border line directly over the top.
• If reaching the exact summit is your goal, opt for the Slovak red trail, as the Polish blue trail skirts the peak to the north.
• Two small WWI military cemeteries (nos. 1 and 2) are hidden in the forest on the northern slopes, both designed by Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič — well worth seeking out.

Those two quiet woodland war cemeteries, designed by the celebrated architect Dušan Jurkovič, give this otherwise gentle hike an unexpectedly moving historical dimension.
