Cergowa (716 m a.s.l.) is one of the most distinctive summits of the Low Beskids — its forested silhouette dominates the skyline above the town of Dukla and rewards visitors with a wonderful observation tower and a peaceful, unhurried atmosphere. If you are looking for a great day hike away from the crowds, this is the place.

The mountain has three separate tops and hides plenty of surprises on its slopes: sandstone outcrops, around ten narrow fissure caves, and a picturesque little pond locals call 'Morskie Oko'. The beech forests turn golden in autumn, snow-dusted trails make for magical winter walks, and spring brings fresh green all the way to the summit. Paragliders are also regular visitors, drawn by the favourable flying conditions.

• Dukla (town centre) — blue trail, approx. 1.5–2 h, moderate difficulty
• Chyrowa / Hermitage of St. John of Dukla — red trail (Main Beskid Trail), longer variant, moderate difficulty
• Zawadka Rymanowska — blue trail, southern approach

• A wooden observation tower opened in October 2018 stands at the highest point (716 m) next to an iron cross.
• At the foot of the north-western slope you will find a chapel and a sacred spring called 'Złota Studzienka' (Golden Well), connected with St. John of Dukla — a revered pilgrimage spot.
• Around ten fissure caves have been mapped on the slopes; the longest — 'Jaskinia Gdzie Wpadł Grotołaz' — reaches 75 m in length and 14.5 m in depth.
• Two nature reserves protect the mountain: 'Cisy w Nowej Wsi' (yew trees) and 'Rezerwat Tysiąclecia na Cergowej Górze'.

The caves of Cergowa are among the earliest documented in Poland — Jesuit naturalist Gabriel Rzączyński described them as far back as 1721, and local legend speaks of underground tunnels stretching all the way to the castle at Odrzykoń near Krosno.
