Busov (1,002 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the small Busov range in the Low Beskids — a quiet, forested summit that rewards hikers with surprising long-distance views and a genuine sense of wilderness. Tucked away about 10 km northwest of Bardejov, it feels like a well-kept local secret.

Almost the entire mountain is draped in dense forest, giving the hike a peaceful, shaded character. At the very top, a small clearing opens up around a wooden cross — a welcoming spot to catch your breath. The views are limited by the trees, but where they open up, they reach far: on a clear day you can pick out several peaks along the nearby Slovak-Polish border, and in exceptional visibility the High Tatras appear on the distant horizon. Autumn transforms the surrounding forest into a vivid tapestry of gold and amber, making this one of the most rewarding seasons to visit.
