Bachureň (1,081 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Bachureň mountain range, a quiet corner of northeastern Slovakia located around 15 km west of Sabinov. It may not be the tallest summit in the region, but it rewards hikers with surprisingly far-reaching views and genuine wilderness tranquility.

The massif forms a distinctive horseshoe-shaped ridge — stretching from Žliabky (1,028 m) in the northwest, over the dominant Bachureň, to Magura (1,063 m) in the southwest. The summit itself is forested, so the best panoramas open up from the cleared sections along the ridge. From the right spots you can spot the Levočské vrchy, Branisko, Čierna hora and Čergov ranges. On clear days the High Tatras appear on the horizon, and even the Low Tatras with Kráľova hoľa — a truly memorable sight.

• The summit lies on the boundary of Prešov and Sabinov districts, on the cadastral land of Renčišov and Lačnov villages.
• The ridge serves as a watershed between the Hornád river basin (via Svinka) and the Torysa river basin.

Bachureň is the crown of its own small range — a modest, forested peak that surprises with open ridge views stretching all the way to Slovakia's highest mountains.
