Schloss Elmau is a five-star castle hotel at the foot of the Wetterstein range, famous for hosting two G7 summits (2015 and 2022) and for a rich cultural history of classical music, literature, and philosophy dating back to 1916. It's a place where mountain silence meets world-class concerts and cuisine.

Sitting at 1008 meters above the village of Klais in the municipality of Krün, the estate is surrounded by the protected Drüsselgraben valley, carpeted with wild gentians in spring. The surrounding landscape offers sweeping views toward the Wetterstein massif, with hiking opportunities in every season - lush meadows in summer, snow-covered trails in winter.

• Klais or Krün - reachable by local road, about 20-30 minutes on foot from the parking area, easy difficulty
• Trail to Elmauer Alm - roughly 30 minutes from the castle, easy, leading to a 1203 m ridge with panoramic views of the Zugspitze, Karwendel, and Wetterstein ranges
