The neo-Gothic palace in Szalejów Dolny is one of those quietly captivating places in the Kłodzko region where aristocratic history meets the calm of the Sudeten countryside. Originally a Renaissance manor from the 16th century, it was transformed in the 19th century, and today it still carries a romantic, slightly mysterious atmosphere, enhanced by the mausoleum of the von Münchhausen family standing nearby.

The palace is surrounded by a park that offers a peaceful spot to rest after exploring the trails of the Kłodzko Valley. In summer, old trees provide pleasant shade, in autumn the park glows with colourful leaves, and in winter the frosted walls of the palace and mausoleum look almost fairy-tale like. It is a great stop for a short break during a longer trip around the region, away from the crowds of typical tourist attractions.
