The Gold Mine in Złoty Stok is one of Poland's most extraordinary underground attractions — a former gold and arsenic mine transformed into a thrilling visitor experience. Here's a fun historical footnote: back in 1907 the mine operated an electric narrow-gauge railway with a 500 mm gauge to haul ore to the nearby railway station — one of the earliest such installations in the region. The 'Ducal Tunnel' has been a listed monument since 1964.
