This short 5.9 km loop around Bermsgrün offers a relaxed walk through one of the historic villages of the Ore Mountains, where forest paths meet traces of old mining activity. It is a trail that will not take your whole day, yet still reveals plenty along the way.

Marked with a yellow bar, the trail circles Bermsgrün, a district of Schwarzenberg, passing through woodland and sites connected to the village's past - including the former municipal building and remains of old mining tunnels and shafts. Along the way, the route brings you close to Hoher Hahn, a scenic hilltop where a hotel of the same name now stands on the site of a former mine shaft. The terrain is gentle and typical of this part of the Ore Mountains, mostly forest tracks with occasional open views.

As you walk, it is worth knowing that the area around Bermsgrün has a rich mining history - around 1800 a lead mine containing traces of silver was discovered here, and slate was also once quarried nearby. Traces of that past are still visible along this circular route today.
