The Roztoka Hut is one of the oldest and most beloved mountain refuges in the High Tatras — a historic wooden chalet dripping with old-school atmosphere, and the winner of Poland's national mountain hut ranking no fewer than four times. If you want an authentic taste of the Tatras as they used to be, this is your place.

Situated on the Stara Roztoka glade, the hut sits along the old trail to Morskie Oko, framed by sub-alpine forests and mountain meadows. In autumn the glade comes alive with the roar of deer rutting season — a truly unforgettable experience for overnight guests. In summer it makes a perfect base for hiking to the Mickiewicz Waterfalls and the Valley of Five Polish Lakes, while in winter the old timber building wraps you in a warm, intimate calm.

The first shelter was built here back in 1876, making it one of the longest-running tourist bases in the Polish Tatras — history you can practically feel in every timber beam of the 1913 building.
