The Stóg Izerski Mountain Hut is the westernmost shelter on the Polish side of the Sudetes - a spot that has been charming hikers with its panoramic views and mountain atmosphere for nearly a century. Sitting just 50 meters below the summit, it makes a perfect stop for travelers seeking sweeping vistas and a rest inside a timber-and-brick building built in the traditional Silesian-Lusatian style.

From the hut's terrace, a wide panorama unfolds over Świeradów-Zdrój, Mirsk, Gryfów Śląski, Lubań, the Kwisa valley, the Kamienica Ridge, the Izera Foothills, and the western part of the Karkonosze Mountains. In summer it's a paradise for mountain wanderers, while in winter the exposed high-altitude location gives it a raw yet picturesque character. The area is also known for its proximity to the Polish-Czech border and the viewing tower on Smrk on the Czech side.
