Sokolí hnízdo, meaning Falcon's Nest, is a charming little chateau tucked into the forests of Bohemian Switzerland, right next to the famous Pravčická brána rock arch. It's the perfect stop on a hike - a place where history and nature blend together over a good meal with sandstone views.

The surrounding landscape is beautiful in every season - dense forests offer shade in summer, autumn brings a colorful canopy, and winter dusts the roof with snow for a fairy-tale feel. The terrain is hilly but the trails leading here are well marked and manageable for most hikers. Inside, you'll find a restaurant to refuel and a small museum dedicated to Bohemian Switzerland.

The chateau was built in 1881 for Prince Edmund Clary-Aldringen, who brought in Italian workers, then the cheapest labor available - the whole building went up in just one year.
