Perched on the summit of Wielka Sowa – the highest peak in the Sowie Mountains – this striking 25-metre concrete tower is one of the few surviving Bismarck towers in the Sudetes still open to visitors. Built in 1905–1906, it rewards every hiker with sweeping panoramic views over the Central Sudetes.

The tower rises above a dense Sudeten spruce forest, and from its top platform the landscape stretches far in every direction. Autumn brings vivid colours to the hillsides, winter wraps the summit in snow and a quiet magic, while spring and summer make it a perfect family destination. The old stone-and-concrete structure has a wonderfully historic feel – you can almost sense the generations of hikers who have climbed these steps before you.

The original wooden tower built here in 1886 lasted only 18 years before its rotting staircase gave way under two tourists from Wrocław – luckily both were unhurt. A few years later, this far sturdier concrete replacement was built, and it is still standing strong over a century later.
