The Water Tower is Siófok's most iconic building, standing right in the heart of the town on Fő tér square. It's not a mountain peak, but a beloved lookout point that offers one of the best panoramic views of Lake Balaton and the town below.

Standing at just over 41 metres tall, the tower was built in 1912 and underwent a complete renovation in 2012 to mark its centenary. A panoramic lift whisks visitors up to the viewing gallery, making this a viewpoint accessible to almost everyone. The open, circular observation deck lets you walk a full 360° around the top, taking in views over the rooftops of Siófok and the shimmering waters of Lake Balaton - stunning at sunset in summer, and peaceful and quiet in the off-season.
