Juhaska Przehyba is a shallow, rocky notch on the ridge of Długi Giewont, tucked deep in the Western Tatras. This is a spot for seasoned climbers rather than casual hikers - the terrain here is raw, steep and unforgiving.

The pass sits between Juhaska Turnia and Juhaska Kopa, dropping away in rock walls on both sides. To the south, an almost vertical face falls to the grassy Wielki Upłaz in the Kondratowa Valley; to the north, it descends into the Banie gully in the Strążyska Valley. It is a wild, stony landscape where the silence is broken only by wind and distant streams.

On the northern side, an easy slope quickly breaks off after several dozen meters into a rock step over ten meters high, requiring actual climbing (grade VI- UIAA). Below lies the deep depression of Juhaska Przehyba, barely noticeable where it crosses the grassy Dolny Zachod, but becoming steep and dramatic further down, ending in a 30-meter rock step above a small hollow below the Juhaska Cave.

How to reach the viewpoint

• Access only via climbing routes starting from the hollow below Juhaska Cave - difficulty grades IV, V or VI- UIAA, for experienced climbers only

• No summer ascent recorded for the upper section of the route - mainly accessible in winter
• First ascent of the lower part: W. Cywiński and W. Mateja, 1989
• First winter ascent: W. Cywiński and P. Konopka, 1990

This is a place for the few - its climbing history spans only a few decades, and the upper section still has no recorded summer ascent.
