Baggersee Rossau is the largest lake within the city limits of Innsbruck, a former gravel pit turned popular summer swimming spot. Set on the eastern edge of the city near the Inn river, it's a favorite escape for locals looking to cool off and relax.

The lake has a relaxed, park-like atmosphere with gently sloping, planted shores, reeds and water plants lining the banks. In summer the water warms up to around 19-24°C with visibility of 1.5 to 2 meters, making it inviting for a swim. Outside the bathing season, the area makes for a pleasant, easy walk along the Inn river, with green spaces and a calm, local feel.
