Zábřeh (Czech: [ˈzaːbr̝ɛx]; German: Hohenstadt) is a town in Šumperk District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 13,000 inhabitants. It is situated on the Moravská Sázava River. Among the most important owners of the town in its feudal history were the Tunkl of Brníčko and Liechtenstein families. The historic character of the town was destroyed by a fire at the end of the 18th century. The town became an industrial centre in the 19th century, but today no large industrial companies are based here.
