Boskovice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈboskovɪtsɛ]; German: Boskowitz) is a town in Blansko District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 12,000 inhabitants.
Boskovice was probably founded in the 13th century and had one of the largest Jewish communities in Moravia. The area of the historic town centre, Jewish quarter, Empire castle complex and Gothic castle ruin is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone.
