Zwalisko (1,046 m a.s.l.) is one of the most atmospheric summits in the Izera Mountains — a narrow, east-west ridge studded with striking hornfels rock formations and steeped in legends of hidden treasure and enchanted castles. The highlight at the top is a dramatic cluster of rocks known as the 'Evening Castle' (Wieczorny Zamek), flanked by the 'Skarbki' crags to the west and the 'Stone Gate' to the east.

The ridge stretches for several hundred metres and its weather-resistant hornfels rocks have fascinated mineral hunters since the Middle Ages. The northern slopes drop steeply towards Rozdroże Izerskie, while the southern side descends more gently into the Kamienna river valley. The young spruce forest that has regrown after a devastating ecological disaster in the 1980s gives the area a raw, slightly haunting feel — dead tree stumps still poke above the new growth as silent reminders. The summit is frequently wrapped in cloud and mist, and snow can linger here well into late spring.

Medieval Walloon prospectors seeking precious metals knew this hill well — it was recorded in the historic 'Walloon Books' as a place rich in minerals, and tales of underground treasure and enchanted castles still cling to the ridge today.
