Zlatý chlum (892 m a.s.l.) is a charming and easily accessible summit in the Zlatohorská Highlands of the Czech Jeseníky region, sitting just 2.5 km northeast of the town of Jeseník. What makes it special is the combination of a historic lookout tower, forest trails, and sweeping views stretching across the Jeseníky mountains and over the border into Poland.

The terrain is gentle and welcoming — mixed woodland paths wind their way up through peaceful forest, making this a great outing for families and casual hikers alike. In spring and summer the trails are lush and green, autumn brings spectacular foliage colours, and in winter the area transforms into a quiet, snow-covered landscape popular with cross-country skiers. The summit area itself is spread across three municipalities — Česká Ves, Mikulovice and Jeseník — which gives you a sense of just how central this hill is to the local landscape.

• Jeseník (town centre/parking) — trail via the western slope passing the 'Turistický pramen' spring, difficulty: easy, approx. 45–60 minutes.
• Česká Ves — approach from the north, similar difficulty and duration.

• The lookout tower near the summit (at elevation 875 m, roughly 200 m from the true highest point) has been open since 1899 and offers views over the Jeseníky range and into Poland.
• The 'Hornická naučná stezka' (Mining Educational Trail) loops around Zlatý chlum — a fascinating route for anyone interested in the region's mining heritage.
