Zámčisko (434 m a.s.l.) is the highest point of the Chvojnica Hills in western Slovakia — a gentle, forested summit with a prehistoric past and a quietly rewarding atmosphere that feels a world away from busy mountain resorts. If you are looking for an easy half-day walk through peaceful woodland with a touch of history, this is your spot.

The terrain is soft and mostly wooded, with field and forest tracks connecting the surrounding villages of Unín, Radimov, Radošovce and Smrdáky. The landscape is typical of the Záhorie lowland fringe — wide skies, rolling hills and a sense of unhurried calm. Spring and autumn are particularly pleasant, when the forest fills with colour and birdsong. At the summit itself you will find a wooden cross, a picnic table and an information board about the ancient hillfort that once stood here.
