Wrzosówka is a quiet, forested peak in the Izera Mountains, perfect for hikers seeking a peaceful walk away from crowded trails. It won't dazzle you with sweeping panoramas, but its untouched, wooded character makes it a genuinely pleasant stop on a longer Sudetes traverse.

The entire massif is covered in dense forest, offering cool shade in summer and vivid colours in autumn. The terrain is gentle, typical of the eastern Kamienicki Ridge, with the summit rising between Kozia Szyja to the west and Ciemniak to the east, separated from it by the Babia Pass. In winter the area can be snow-covered, calling for sturdy footwear, but rewarding walkers with a genuine sense of Sudeten wilderness and solitude.

How to reach the summit

• Świeradów-Zdrój — blue trail via Sępia Góra and Rozdroże Izerskie, moderate distance, easy to moderate difficulty
• Zimna Przełęcz — continue along the blue trail towards Rybnica for a longer ridge walk

• The village of Kopaniec lies on the northern slopes of the peak, a useful landmark when planning your route
