Wołosań (1071 m a.s.l.) is the highest peak of the Wysoki Dział range in the Western Bieszczady Mountains — a quiet, forested summit far from the busy highland meadows that draw the crowds. If you want to experience the deep, almost tangible silence of the Bieszczady, this is the place.

The slopes are almost entirely covered in forest, but near the top a few clearings open up. The one located to the south-east of the summit serves as a natural viewpoint, offering views of the Łopiennik range, Hrynlata and Matragona. A lookout tower once stood on the summit, extending the panorama even further. The surrounding ridge forms a fascinating network of spurs: one branch heads south towards Przysłop (1006 m), while another reaches north-west to the subsidiary peak of Babinka, also known as Iwanica (944 m).

• The summit lies within the Ciśniańsko-Wetliński Landscape Park — nature protection rules apply.
• The Main Beskid Trail (GSB) passes over the summit on the Komańcza–Cisna section, making Wołosań a natural waypoint on multi-day hikes.
• The Przysłop ridge marks the watershed between the Osława river catchment to the west and the Solinka catchment to the east.

Wołosań also goes by the alternative name Patryja — a reminder that the local place names of the Bieszczady carry echoes of the Lemko and Wallachian cultures that shaped this landscape over centuries.
