Włostowa (904 m a.s.l.) is a charming twin-peaked hill rising above the spa town of Sokołowsko in the Suche Mountains of the Central Sudetes. Covered entirely in forest and shaped like a neat cone, it offers a peaceful, shaded hike that feels like stepping into a forgotten corner of Central Europe.

The mountain's double summit forms a small ridge at the top, with steep slopes dropping away on all sides. The whole massif is blanketed in lower montane forest, making it a cool and atmospheric walk in summer and a wonderfully quiet outing in winter. Keep an eye out for outcrops of porphyry and trachite rock hidden among the trees on the southern slopes and along the ridge — these volcanic formations are a reminder that the Sudetes have a fiery geological past. At the northwestern foot of the hill, a former spa park once featured romantic pavilions and a family cemetery belonging to Dr. Theodor Römpler, the driving force behind Sokołowsko's development as a health resort. Nature has slowly reclaimed much of it, adding a poignant, romantic mood to the surroundings.
