Wielka Cisowa Grapa (853 m a.s.l.) is one of the most interesting summits in the western part of Beskid Mały — a junction peak where three mountain ridges meet and fan out in completely different directions. Forested and quietly atmospheric, it rewards hikers with a real sense of being at a crossroads of the mountains.

The peak rises above the valleys of three streams: the Isepnica to the west, the Wielka Puszcza to the north, and the Kocierzanka to the east. From here, ridges stretch towards Lake Żywieckie, Lake Międzybrodzkie, and along the main ridge of Beskid Mały towards Przełęcz Kocierska. The summit once hosted shepherd's pastures, and near the red trail below the top you can still find the ruins of an old stone shepherd's hut. The summit also marks the meeting point of three municipalities: Międzybrodzie Bialskie, Kocierz Rychwałdzki, and Porąbka.

How to reach the summit

• Żarnówka Mała (via Żar, Kiczora, Przełęcz Isepnicka and Cisownik) — red trail (Mały Szlak Beskidzki), approx. 4 h 05 min, moderate
• Tresna (via Kościelec, Jaworzyna, Maleckie and Szeroka Przełęcz) — blue trail, approx. 3 h, moderate

Practical information

• Both trails meet at nearby Szeroka Przełęcz (Przysłop Cisowy), making a comfortable loop hike possible.
• The Szeroka nature reserve, a protected forest area, lies just to the east of the summit above the Kocierzanka valley.

Local tradition holds that during World War II, partisans sheltered for a time in the old stone hut by the trail — a detail that gives this quiet, wooded peak an unexpectedly stirring backstory.
