Wielka Cisowa is a broad, flat and largely treeless summit rising along the Błatnia ridge in the Silesian Beskids. It's the kind of place where wide-open spaces reward you with sweeping views instead of a forest wall blocking the horizon.
The character here is gentle and welcoming — a classic ridge walk perfect for families or anyone craving open scenery without punishing climbs. In summer the grassy meadows glow green, while in winter the terrain makes for peaceful snowshoe-style walks with views over neighboring ranges. A distinct southern spur splits the valleys of the Jatny and Chrobaczy streams, while the northern slope descends gently toward Jasienica.
How to reach the summit
Practical information
The mountain's name comes from the yew trees ('cis' in Polish) that once grew here, and shepherds' huts are documented at this spot as far back as the 16th century.
