Vysoká (759 m a.s.l.) is the second highest peak in the Little Carpathians — a narrow limestone and dolomite ridge with a striking twin-summit silhouette, sheer rock faces and ancient forest barely touched by human hands. It sits just 13 km east of Malacky, yet feels wonderfully remote.

The mountain has a wild, rugged character in every season. The trail winds past steep cliffs, babbling streams, sunny meadows and impressive rock walls. The slopes are covered by beech, elm, linden and maple woodland that has remained largely undisturbed for centuries. Keep an eye out for mouflon roaming the hillsides, and a handful of small caves and springs tucked into the terrain. The broken forest canopy on the summit ridge opens up generous views: neighbouring Little Carpathian peaks, the Borská and Podunajská lowlands, and on a clear day the White Carpathians, Považský Inovec, Vtáčnik — and even the Schneeberg massif in the Austrian Northern Limestone Alps.

• From the south-east — Modra-Harmónia via Piesok, blue-marked trail; moderate difficulty.
• From the north — Sološnica village (Sološnická dolina junction), red-marked Štefánik Magistrale (Heroes of the SNP Route); moderate difficulty.
• From the south — Pezinská Baba via Skalnatá, red-marked trail; moderate difficulty.

• The peak and its surroundings form the Vysoká Nature Reserve, established in 1988 within the Little Carpathians Protected Landscape Area — standard protected-area rules apply.
• Cyclists can reach the Štefánik Cycling Magistrale to within approximately 1 km and 150 vertical metres of the summit, then continue on foot via the blue hiking trail.
• Zochova chata mountain hut is nearby and makes a convenient starting point or refreshment stop.

The area also offers easy connections to Červený Kameň castle, the lookout tower on Veľká homola and the Štúr Trail — making Vysoká a natural centrepiece for a full day out in the Little Carpathians.
