Vyskeř (466 m a.s.l.) is the highest point in the northwestern part of Bohemian Paradise, a gentle yet rewarding summit that offers a genuinely unique viewing experience. It sits about 5 km south of Turnov and makes for a lovely half-day trip in one of the Czech Republic's most scenic protected landscapes.

What makes Vyskeř special is its carefully framed views. Back in 1886, local villagers afforested the hill, which blocked the wide open panoramas — but in a charming act of compromise, they left five clearings cut through the trees, each aimed precisely at a different landmark: the iconic twin-towered ruin of Trosky castle, the town of Sobotka, the hilltop castle of Bezděz, the distinctive TV tower on Ještěd, and the rocky Kozákov hill. Since 2021/2022 the summit has been fully cleared of trees and is now maintained by grazing, encouraging the return of steppe flora and fauna — making it especially beautiful in spring and summer.
