Tworogi (839 m a.s.l.) is one of those Gorce Mountains summits that rewards you with genuine tranquillity and a sense of discovery. Far from the crowds of popular trails, the open fields of the Twarogi hamlet and the surrounding quiet forests make this a truly special off-the-beaten-path destination.

The summit and its eastern slopes are largely open and unforested, covered by meadows and the scattered houses of the Twarogi settlement, part of the village of Ochotnica Dolna. From here you get a sweeping panorama over the Dunajec river valley, the Lubań Range, the Radziejowa Range and the Beskid Wyspowy. The southern slopes drop steeply towards the Ochotnica valley and are cloaked in mixed forest where species like sycamore maple, linden, hornbeam and oak reach the upper limit of their natural range — sunny aspects even harbour warmth-loving plant communities. A wooden observation tower once stood on the summit, but it has long since decayed. The peak sits right on the administrative boundary between Nowy Targ and Limanowa counties.

• Ochotnica Dolna (Twarogi hamlet) — follow the road to the settlement and continue on a forest track; no marked hiking trail exists; moderate difficulty.

• A marked cycling and cross-country ski route runs across the summit, established in 2015 by the Ochotnica Dolna municipality: Tylmanowa (Rzeka) – Buciory – Tworogi – Goły Wierch – Koń – Bystra – Zdzar – Wierchmłynne Pass – Lelonek – Tokarka – Bystrzaniec – Gorc Młynieński – Gorc.
• There is no marked hiking trail to the top — access is via a dirt road through the Twarogi hamlet.
