Tŕstie (1,121 m a.s.l.) is a peaceful forested summit in the Stolické vrchy mountains of central Slovakia, tucked away from busy tourist routes and perfect for those who love quiet woodland hiking. It sits roughly 9 km west of Revúca and rises above the small settlement of Rimavská Píla.

The peak lies along a ridge running southward from Tri chotáre and is entirely covered by dense forest — so don't expect an open summit panorama. However, from clearings along the trails you can catch views of the surrounding Stolické vrchy hills, the Low Tatras, the Veporské vrchy, Poľana, the Revúca Highlands, and the Spiš-Gemer Karst. The terrain is moderately hilly and the trails are well marked, making this an enjoyable hike in any season — especially beautiful in autumn colours or the fresh greens of spring.

• From the north, from the village of Muráň via Tri chotáre (963 m) and Tŕstie junction — red trail, moderate
• From the west, from Rimavská Píla past the Tŕstie mountain hut — green trail, easy
• From the southeast, from Krokava — green trail, moderate
• From the north, from Tisovec via Tŕstie junction — yellow trail, moderate

• A mountain hut is located on the northwestern slope of the peak — check opening times before your visit.
• The summit gives its name to the entire Tŕstie geomorphological sub-unit of the Stolické vrchy range.

The red trail here is part of the 'Chodník Márie Széchy', a named long-distance route honouring the historical figure associated with nearby Muráň Castle — a nice bit of regional history to accompany your hike.
