Tępy Szczyt (1,388 m a.s.l.) is a rugged granite peak on the main ridge of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains), sitting right on the Polish-Czech border between Mały Szyszak and Smogornia. Wild, boulder-strewn and draped in dwarf pine, it offers an authentic taste of the high Karkonosze landscape.

The summit is covered by an extensive boulder field — a striking sight in any season, especially when dusted with autumn frost or winter snow. Below the rocky top, mountain spruce forests typical of this part of the Karkonosze take over. On the Czech side lies the scenic Čertův důl gorge, and further down the valley you'll find the mountain hut U Bílého Labe. The entire area falls within the Karkonosze National Park on both sides of the border, keeping the surroundings beautifully untouched.

The peak's old German names — Kleines Rad, Mittelberg and Sturmhaubenköppel — are a reminder of the rich, multicultural heritage of this border mountain region.
