Szklarz is a compact but characterful peak of the Karkonosze Foothills, rising right above the town of Szklarska Poręba. At its foot hides one of the region's best-known attractions — the Szklarka Waterfall — making this an easy way to combine a summit walk with a scenic waterfall visit.

The whole massif is cloaked in forest, so don't expect sweeping panoramas here — the real charm lies in the walk itself: steep granite cliffs dropping toward the Kamienna valley, a gorge carved by the Szklarka stream, and a cool, shaded woodland atmosphere that turns golden in autumn. In winter, paths near the cliffs can get slippery, so take extra care.
