Szerzawa (706 m a.s.l.) is a quiet, forest-covered summit tucked into the heart of the Karkonosze Intramontane Depression. It may not be the most dramatic peak in the Karkonosze range, but it offers something rare — genuine tranquillity, granite rock formations, and dense spruce woodland far from the tourist crowds.

Situated between the villages of Jagniątków to the west and Przesieka to the east, Szerzawa is shaped from typical Karkonosze granite, giving its rocky outcrops a rugged, timeless character. The north-western ridge hosts a lovely chain of rock formations worth exploring. To the south, the well-known 'Droga pod Reglami' trail runs along the base of the mountain, making access straightforward. In summer the hill is a cool green retreat, while in winter the snow-laden spruce trees create a fairytale atmosphere. To the north-east, Szerzawa connects with the neighbouring peak of Kopista, offering the possibility of a pleasant combined walk.

• Droga pod Reglami running to the south is a popular walking and cycling route and a convenient starting point for ascending Szerzawa.
• Szerzawa lies within Karkonosze National Park — keep to marked trails at all times.

The old German name for this peak was 'Breitberg' — meaning 'Broad Mountain' — a fitting description for this wide, gently spreading forested hill that has shaped the skyline of the sub-Karkonosze villages for centuries.
